Today we are taking another big step on this journey with our new integration with Discord, officially launching today to the public.

Now with DailyBot in their servers, users can better track and organize their work, so they can focus on what matters most: shipping amazing products.

Our integration will give users a new way to manage work that lives both inside and outside of Discord, providing new opportunities for improved transparency and collaboration across teams.

Our young workers are already using Discord a lot

The boom of Discord among a generation of new workers is a phenomenon that's only grown since the pandemic started. As we looked at how to best serve the users of the future of work, it became clear that we also needed a Discord integration as well.

These users have already been using the platform for gaming, engaging in communities for popular titles like Minecraft, Fortnite, Among Us, or Rocket League; for their online retail, with electronic stores Micro Center and Newegg being just two examples; Spotify and music; or hobbies, where growing communities include anime servers for My Hero Academia or for popular Youtubers like MrBeast.

Now with more industries, projects and teams becoming remote, and being led by the same power users from before, integrating with Discord makes sense for the future of work.

Discord for work: a natural step-up

Discord, if you haven’t used it before, is essentially a free voice and text chat app for connecting with kindred-spirited people. It also has a lot of pretty cool features that make it a powerful and flexible platform for any kind of community, including workgroups.

We've been working on this for quite some time and we're super excited about the release. We created it because we realized that — despite all the tools and software out there — many teams still face a challenge in staying organized and on top of their work while using Discord. This integration is one of the ways we’re helping companies better manage their teams when working remotely.

New things you can do right from Discord

DailyBot and Discord are two collaboration tools that share a similar philosophy of how work should be done — flexible, with an emphasis on team communication. The integration between the two is seamless and supports two-way communication between DailyBot reports and Discord servers.

This means that if you organize your company around chat rooms instead of traditional email chains, you can track your team’s daily stand-ups and periodic check-ins, automatically conduct weekly surveys and collect team feedback, celebrate your company’s birthdays, or provide a fun way to randomly pair up the office for 1:1 conversations, all in chat — this being just the tip of the iceberg.

With this step, we’re embracing the inevitable trend that we’ve all seen across the board: experienced, techie workers who already knew and enjoyed the platform are increasingly using it at work, too. Now they have an opportunity to rely on the casual drop-in audio mode of Discord, while automating their more asynchronous practices using direct chat reports and alerts.

This is just the beginning

This integration with Discord is a major step for both companies. While it’s just recently out of beta, the initial excitement and interest have been remarkable. Going forward, we expect to continue expanding our integration with Discord, as well as working with more teams across the world to provide best-in-class solutions for chat automation and collaboration.
