If you're using DailyBot to keep your team in sync but rely on Google Sheets for data aggregation or analysis, we've got great news for you. You can send all your DailyBot check-in reports directly to a Google Sheets document using our Zapier integration.

It's not only possible but incredibly straightforward.

Not only can you funnel check-in data into Google Sheets, but virtually any core activity within DailyBot can be integrated with your favorite Google tools via Zapier. Here's how you can link your check-ins to Google Sheets in just a few simple steps.

How to integrate DailyBot with Google Sheets

1. Set up your Google sheet

Begin by creating a Google Sheets document where your check-in reports will be stored. Set up columns corresponding to each question or response field from your DailyBot check-ins.

This will ensure that all data is organized and easily readable.

2. Access the Zapier integration in DailyBot

  • Navigate to your DailyBot dashboard.
  • Go to Settings > API and Integrations > Zapier.

3. Initiate the Zap creation process

  • In the Zapier section, select Google Sheets from the list of available integrations.
  • Click on one of the boxes that says "Connect Google Sheets" or "Create this Zap". Alternatively, choose one of the existing templates to get started.

4. Authenticate and set up your Zapier account

You will be redirected to Zapier. If you haven't already, you'll need to sign up for a Zapier account:

  • Follow the prompts to create your account.
  • Once logged in, return to the Zap creation process.

5. Configure the trigger event in Zapier

  • In the "Choose App & Event" section, select DailyBot.
  • For the trigger event, choose "New Check-in Response Completed".
  • Click Continue.

6. Connect your DailyBot account

  • Zapier will prompt you to sign in to DailyBot.
  • Authenticate by entering your DailyBot API credentials. (You must be an org admin to get access to your organization’s API keys)
  • Once connected, select the specific check-in you want to link.
  • Click Continue.

7. Set up the action event with Google Sheets

  • In the "Do this..." section, select Google Sheets.
  • Choose the action event "Create Spreadsheet Row".
  • Click Continue.

8. Connect your Google account

  • Sign in to your Google account when prompted.
  • Allow Zapier the necessary permissions to access your Google Sheets, then continue.

9. Customize the spreadsheet row

  • Select the Google Sheets document you created earlier. (Make sure you have all the necessary permissions, otherwise it won’t show in your list)
  • Choose the specific worksheet within the spreadsheet.
  • Map the fields from your DailyBot check-in to the corresponding columns in your Google Sheet.some text
    • For example, link "Check-in Question 1" to "Column A".

10. Test and publish your Zap!

  • Zapier will offer to test the Zap to ensure everything is working correctly. Try it out!
  • Once the test is successful, click Publish Zap.
  • Your Zap is now live and will run automatically in the background. 🎉

With your Zap published, every new check-in response from you or your team members will automatically populate your Google Sheet. This integration eliminates manual data entry, reduces the risk of errors, and allows you to focus on actually analyzing the data to make more informed decisions.

In an era where data drives success, having real-time access to your team's check-in reports can be an advantage since:

  • You’re actively monitoring project updates and team performance at a glance.
  • You can share the Google Sheet with stakeholders outside DailyBot to keep everyone in the loop.
  • You can use Google Sheets' powerful functions to generate even more badass reports and insights.

Automation is transforming work by making processes like this more efficient and teams more productive - and integrations like this can help you embrace smarter ways to work.

So, ready to elevate your workflow? Set up this integration today and experience the difference it makes in your daily operations.
